Dino Megazord

 

The First Megazord. I'll be silkscreening this soon with the final color guide.

     The Inking... I did it on canvas paper. Which was awesome! It gave my lines a very nice texture. I also fixed the proportions once I scanned it to Photoshop.

     The Pencils and Sketch... The proportions where off when I started. I was using a non-photo blue lead holder to draw it out. I kept erasing lines and continually changing as I drew. 

I'll post the silkscreen prints as soon as I finish them! A nice "sequel" to my Super Folio.

The Bunnies and The Bear

     I was in a process of brainstorming and sketching ideas for a new Squid logo design for 3AS, but somehow I painted this image instead...!

     I liked the characters so much that I decided to do a small comic for it! It will be black & white, utilizing ink washes instead of acryclic washes like the original.

The Bunnies! I think I'm gonna need thinner lineart.

The Bear! I liked the gouache lines on top of the washes to create fur.

Archangel, Uncanny Print

Finally finished my Archangel silkscreen print! I posted the step-by-step at my Tumblr!

Original Archangel is the best Archangel.

     I am doing this as a new silkscreen project. Testing the colors out in Photoshop. Once I finish up my silkscreen book, I will be printing this next.

X-Force Archangel is Bad Ass too.

Girl Powah!!! Teaser

The second mini book I'm doing alongside Dogs Vs Cats- Girl Powah!!!

The 2 will be printed with my Zephyr book too.

3 Armed Squid Issue #2 Teaser!!! My fellow squids- Alexandra Beguez, Kim Ku, Estrella Vega, and a slew of new artists will be contributing. It will debut at Mocca 2013.

I'm working on my pages now, while completing colors for my new silkscreen books.

Quick Print...

Something I did quick while figuring stuff out for Mocca. Also, I was experimenting on printing on red paper.

 The process is always fun... when you're not running into multiple problems.

Luk Zephyr Vs the Basilisk Horde (print!)

1- Blue Green

So, here is the printing process. 10 separations!

 

2- Dark Blue Green

3- Magenta

 Magenta when overlapped with the Blue Green made the purple gloves and trunks.
 

4- Gold

5- Yellow

Yellow overlapped with the Blue Green made the green tongue and on the Dark Blue Green made the dark green mouth. It also made the orange when it overlapped the magenta.

These next photos were taken by my camera phone, which is not that great...

 

6- White

 White made lighter versions of all the colors printed so far. It also left a veiny tongue on the monsters!

 

7- Blue (super transparent)

 This separation made the shading.

8- Dark Blue

 Dark Blue lineart on the monsters and background.

 

9- Brown

 Brown lineart on the characters and the background.

The last layer is the very light pink which made the transparent dress on the female character and drool on the monsters.
