Lady Knight Vs Dragon (and CAB2014 re-cap)

This silkscreen print debuted this past weekend at Comic Arts Brooklyn. I was very excited to get on this show having heard a lot of great things about it from the previous year. I did pretty well, considering I have never done it before. It was great to share the table (which were bigger than the usual festival tables!!) with one of my comic mentors, CM Butzer. I always learn something new from him. I'm hoping to be able to do it again next year! Yey.

Prior to the fest, I tried to get as much done as possible. I had a lot of fun working on this project (being one of my many pet projects waiting on the wings) and finally got to print it.

I did 5 color layers for this- white, magenta, yellow, black, and blue. As much as I love having 5+ layers on a silkscreen project, I should try to cap it maybe at 4 layers. It is so much work with little pay off sometimes depending on the project.

It was fun nonetheless.

If you missed it on the show, it is now available online.

Woah! I'm really enjoying the template/theme of this website. It's simple, yet effective. A lot of times it's tough to get that "perfect balance" between superb usability and appearance. I must say that you've done a fantastic job with this. Also, the blog loads super fast for me on Opera. Exceptional Blog!|
