The super late APE 2014 recap....

Earlier this month, I went to APE (Alternative Press Expo). This is my first show outside of the usual NYC-area shows I exhibit at. I was hesitant at first because of the travel costs, but it ultimately paid off.

Prior to this show, I was trying to get as much new silkscreen stuff I could complete. I had the X-men, and What the Baku?! accordion books to show off. And also, my Tribal Masks mini silkscreen print set. Which was awesome!

Once in San Francisco, getting to and from the hotel to and from Fort Mason (the place the event was held) was a bit of a challenge when you don't know how to use the public transportation. Along with all the luggage, traversing the very steep streets of San Francisco was tiring. Thank god for the free shuttle buses APE provided after the festival! Those cut down the walking time.

The actual show was AWESOME. I met some amazing artists and did really well. All my hesitations were quelled by the first day. There were no slow times at all. There may be a break here and there, but it was quite busy throughout the 2 days. I'm so glad that my silkscreen stuff were well received and inspired me to really do more, considering the amount of time and effort it took to complete them. Thank you, Thank you, SF folks!!! You made my trip!!! I appreciate and grateful to everyone who stopped by my table, chatted, and got my stuff. I definitely would love to come back and maybe do more shows out west! I felt like I really reached the type of audience I was hoping for.

After the fest, I finally go to explore San Francisco and took a lot pictures. I didn't want to go back home without seeing the Bay Area. I got to see and enjoy the majestic fog that covered the Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of the Arts, the beautiful town of Sausalito, walked around Fisherman's Wharf, climbed Coit Tower, visited many local shops, and really enjoyed the lights of the night. These happy moments, in addition to being able to show my work to a great audience, really made the trip.

It was during this trip that I really realize for myself that being positive and avoiding the presence of negativity is the way to go. Being around like-minded people who appreciates you and accommodates you the same way you appreciate and accommodate them is the key to, not only being happy, but also in building strong relationships.

I look forward to doing more shows in the future!

If you miss my stuff during this event, you can get them ONLINE or visit me on upcoming shows!

The X-Men silkscreen book

'Had a blast working on this the last few weeks. I'm so pleased that it was well received during last weekend's APE. It's almost sold out!

If you missed it, it is now available on my ONLINE STORE.

What The Baku?!

Here's another silkscreen project that I recently completed and debuted last weekend at APE.

It was fun and challenging to silkscreen it because the colors does not always look that way they looked in the photoshop color test.

If you missed it during APE, it's now available at my ONLINE STORE.
